An Emirates update on 26th October 2020 clarified on the requirement of the advanced PCR test, based on which only selective travellers will take the test on arrival.
PCR test on arrival UAE residents arriving from the mentioned countries have a choice of:
- Presenting a negative COVID19 PCR test which carries a validity of 96 hours before take-off.
- Take a COVID-19 test on arrival.
- Visitors from the UK and Germany have the option to take COVID19 test on arrival.
- Transiting passengers need not comply with his unless specified by the destination country.
